Lens

Plans

Simple plans.
Viewers are free.

Research is only worth what the whole company can see. So reading Lens never costs a seat — plans include the contributors doing the research, and everyone else watches for free.

Lens is in early access, onboarding a small number of research teams. Founding pricing is agreed together — tell me about your team and I’ll tell you what it costs.

Starter

For a small team doing its own research. Monthly or annual, founding price agreed together.

3 contributors included
  • Unlimited viewers — the whole company reads for free
  • All core research features — interviews, insights, boards, AI on your own key
  • Unmoderated testing — share a link, get results (1 live test at a time)
  • 1 workspace
  • Standard email support
  • Add contributors at any time, per seat
Most popular

Team

For a research practice with stakeholders to serve. Adds analytics, governance and audit.

10 contributors included
  • Everything in Starter
  • Test analytics — click heatmaps, screen paths & session replay, 10 live tests at a time
  • Append-only audit log — searchable, exportable
  • AI governance — per-member access control & usage analytics
  • Custom Kanban workflows — your lanes, your process
  • Priority support
  • Add contributors at any time, at a lower per-seat rate

Or run Lens on your own servers

The self-hosted Docker edition is the same product, on your infrastructure — so your research data never leaves your network, and no third party can turn it off.

  • One-time perpetual licence — it never expires
  • Unlimited contributors, no seat caps
  • Every feature, including unmoderated testing
  • Your data stays on your own infrastructure

Founding customers

You’d be working directly with the person building it

Lens is built and run by one person — me. Right now that’s the best reason to come in early, not a reason to wait. What I’d like in return is your honest feedback, and a short case study if Lens turns out to earn one.

A direct line

You talk to the person who builds Lens, not a ticket queue.

Influence on the roadmap

The first teams using Lens genuinely shape what gets built next.

Help getting started

I'll import your existing research with you, so you start with real material.

Included in every plan

The whole research workflow, on every plan

Unlimited viewers

Everyone in the organisation can read the research. Only people who create — researchers, designers, product owners — take a paid seat.

Highlight → insight

Select a quote in notes or a transcript and turn it into an evidence-backed insight in one motion.

Boards for synthesis & triage

Affinity mapping for making sense of it, a Kanban lens for moving validated findings toward product.

Unmoderated testing

Build a test from blocks — tasks, first-click, preference, five-second — and share one link. Participants need no account; results land straight in your repository. Embed a Figma prototype, or test a live build from Figma Make, Lovable, or v0 and add a one-line snippet for click-level data.

AI on your own key

Summaries, clustering, lane suggestions — grounded in your repository, using your Claude, OpenAI, Grok, or Gemini key. No per-token markup.

GDPR tooling built in

Consent tracking, anonymized exports, and participant erasure in every plan — because research is personal data, and compliance shouldn't be an upsell.

EU-hosted or yours

The cloud edition runs in the EU. Or take the Docker image and run Lens entirely on your own infrastructure.

Continuity

If Lens ever stops, you keep your research

Lens is a small, independent product — so “what if you disappear?” is a fair question. The answer is in the terms rather than in a promise.

Three months' notice

If Lens is ever discontinued you get three months' written notice, the service keeps running throughout, and any fees paid for time after it ends are refunded pro rata.

Run it yourself, for good

The self-hosted edition is a one-time perpetual licence — no expiry, no seat caps. If the hosted service ends we provide it on request and help you move your data onto your own infrastructure.

Your data, on demand

Export the whole repository as JSON and CSV whenever you like — the full relational graph, not a lossy report. Nothing is locked in a format only we can read.

Questions

Questions about plans

Who counts as a contributor?

Anyone who creates or edits — admins, researchers, designers, product owners. Viewers are free and unlimited, so stakeholders can browse insights without costing a seat.

What if we need more contributors?

Add them anytime, per seat, at a lower rate on Team than on Starter. No plan change needed — the included seats are just where the plan starts.

How does the founding customer offer work?

While Lens is in early access I'm onboarding a small number of teams at a founding price, locked for the first 12 months, after which the regular price applies. Monthly and annual are both available, with two months free on annual. Tell me about your team and I'll tell you the numbers — there's no catch, I'd just rather quote you than publish a price list before the product is commercially launched.

How is unmoderated testing priced?

It's included. Tests, participants, and responses are never metered — unlike dedicated testing tools that charge per response. Participants don't need an account or a seat; they just open the link. Starter runs one live test at a time, Team runs ten — drafts and closed tests with their results are always unlimited. Team also adds click heatmaps, screen-path analysis, and session replay.

Does it work with Figma prototypes?

Yes — paste the prototype's share link and it runs inside the test; participants need no Figma account. You get task completion, time on task, why they got stuck in their own words, and your follow-up answers. For click paths and heatmaps, test a real build instead (Figma Make, Lovable, v0, staging, or your live product) and add the one-line snippet — Figma's prototype player only reports interactions to viewers signed in to Figma, so no tool can give you those from an embed.

How do we get started?

Tell me about your team and I'll set up your workspace — no card, nothing to configure. You'll have full access to try it on real research, and your data stays put whatever you decide afterwards.

Is AI usage included?

AI features use your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, or Google), stored encrypted. You pay your provider directly at cost — Lens adds no markup. On the Team plan, admins additionally control per member who may use AI and see usage analytics.

Where is our data stored?

The hosted edition runs in the European Union (Supabase on AWS). Self-hosted, your data never leaves your servers. Either way you can export everything as JSON or CSV at any time.

What does self-hosted cost?

A one-time perpetual license, sized to your organisation — talk to us. You run the Docker image; all features, unlimited contributors, no lock-in.
